i'm in a mood for lots and lots and lots (did i mention LOTS?) of new music. i'm listening to everything from m-flo to t-pain to the new pornographers to yo-yo ma. it makes studying almost enjoyable.
Given the fact that I don't know any of the stuff you listed, we probably have very different taste in music, but atm I'd recommend the Captiva album by Falling Up, "Give Me Your Eyes" single by Brandon Heath...I don't think anything else I'm listening to really qualifies as new...though I just got introduced to "Con Te Partiro" by Andrea Bocelli, which i really like.
THE COCTEAU TWINS WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE. let me know if you want me to send you their album "heaven or las vegas," which i've had on repeat for weeks now.
I never heard of m-flo or t-pain, and I'm not a fan of new pornographers, so yea... we probably have very different tastes in music as well. But lately I've been obsessed with House of Heroes (not a new band, but they have a new album out) and Dear and the Headlights. And I recommend all those bands on my muxtape, haha. :)
I love the sound of 'Viva la Vida' by Coldplay, and a friend and I have been trying for awhile to figure out what it's talking about. It's got a bit of a history lesson (Napolean, maybe? French Revolution?) running through it, so let me know your thoughts once you get through all these suggestions :)
